Makhalaneng Foundation (NPC) “The Foundation” is a Non-Profit Company registered in terms of the Companies Act 71 of 2008 with registration number 2022/378655/08.
BACKGROUND
The Foundation has been operating informally since 2018. In 2022, it was registered as an NPC to ensure good governance and proper administration. The organisation was founded by a group of individuals who were born and raised in Makhalaneng Village, QwaQwa. They realised that Makhalaneng and neighbouring villages are in the state of despair due to poverty, unemployment, substance abuse and crime. The Foundation was founded to address some of these societal issues.

To be a credible, sustainable and community grounded organisation.
MISSION
·To provide social and material support to the community of Makhalaneng Village and Surrounding arears.
·To expose young people to career and other opportunities

GOVERNANCE
The King Report on Corporate Governance is guiding the Foundation’s approach. It is important to us to manage the resources provided by donors, supporters, and government diligently and efficiently. The various structures of the Foundation have been compiled to comply with the principles of good corporate governance. In addition, the applicable policies and protocols are regularly updated, and implementation is monitored at all levels.
The Foundation is a value driven organisation, driven by effective leadership that is based on ethical principles. The two main functions of leadership include the strategic direction and management of the organisation.
